The annual Adopt-A-School Year-End Celebration was held on May 15th at the Hilton Austin Airport. This event honors District and campus adopters, volunteers, mentors, and the overall Del Valle ISD Teachers of the Year. This year marked the 24th anniversary of the program which began in 1988.

The celebration was a culmination of another successful Adopt-A-School year that raised over $500,000 in funds and an opportunity to say "thank you" to the district's adopters, volunteers, and mentors for their generous contributions. Their dedication and kindness are tremendous assets to our school district and our students.

Various categories highlighted the fine work of these companies and individuals such as "Rookie of the Year", "Excellent Partnership Award", "Big Things Come in Small Packages", "Distinguished Adopter Award", and "Decade of Excellence".
