ACE: Afterschool Centers on Education / 21st CCLC
Success - A Texas State of Mind
Program Director: Dawn Sand
About ACE / 21st CCLC:
Del Valle ISD ACE/21st CCLC is a greatn-funded summer and afterschool program intended to foster student achievement through hands-on extended learning programming that complements the school day instruction. ACE/21st CCLC provides innovative, interactive, research-based programs in a safe and structured environment, a place where elementary, middle, and high school students can ARRIVE, STRIVE, and THRIVE.
Each campus has a Site Coordinator and staff who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of each center. The Site Coordinator works with the campus principal and the DVISD Grant Coordinators.
Hours of Operation for Fall 2011:
Monday - Thursday from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
We believe in a strong participation between families and staff. We encourage parental input in decision making and planning, and we ask that parents be actively engaged in their student's education. We value your comments, concerns, or suggestions; therefore, we ask you to share your input with campus staff and/or administration and we welcome you to visit the school.
ACE/21st CCLC has activities and learning opportunities for adults. We will regularly notify parents of upcoming events.
Students must be registered for the program. Students may be placed on a waiting list if all program slots are filled and will be notified in writing of their acceptance into the program. We MUST have a registration form on file for every student enrolled in ACE/21st CCLC programs. It is very important that all information (telephone number, address, releases) be updated and accurate at all times. Please notify the Site Coordinator, Dawn Sand, immediately of any changes.
