Hello, Timberwovles!  I am Ms. Walker, and I will be your Instructional Administrator this school year.  After teaching English Language Arts and Reading, and after coaching basketball, volleyball, track, and cheerleading for 4 years, I decided to move to the Austin area and serve students, staff and faculty in a different capacity as an assistant principal.  My initial years as an administrator were served as one of the freshman assistant principals at Del Valle High School.  Last year, I served as the 8^th grade assistant principal, and I also worked with 6^th grade student discipline as well. 

This year, my focus will be to help teachers increase student engagement in the classroom in order to improve every student’s learning experience and increase their ability to critically think.  It is a joy to work here at Dailey Middle School, and it is an honor to have the opportunity to work with you all.  Serving you is my top priority as a campus leader.  I believe that all students are capable of learning, and our teachers are prepared to make students’ learning experiences both positive and meaningful.  I look forward to a successful year with you!
