05.24.13

Welcome parents and students to the 2012-2013 academic school year!

I have been in the Del Valle District for the past five years and I look forward to continuing to grow with the DV Community.

I was born in San Antonio, TX and grew up in the Houston area for most of my childhood. I returned to San Antonio for my high school years and graduated from Douglas MacArthur.

In 2002, I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas at Austin. I decided to stay in Austin because of my great experiences here. Since graduating, I have received a Masters degree in Elementary Education and am currently pursuing my doctorate in School Improvement at Texas State University in San Marcos.

I will be one of the assistant principals addressing discipline and academics on the following teams: 6th grade Princeton, and 7th grade Dartmouth and Yale.

When I see students around campus, I expect each student to be in dress code, carrying themselves in a respectful manner, know what they're learning in class and how they did on their last test, among other things.

I believe that success and achievement are possibilities for all students and as a campus we want every child to reach their full potential. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

Please email me at jennifer.garcia@del-valle.k12.tx.us or contact me at 512 386 3431.

Thank you,

Ms. Garcia
