Officer Forest Bouldin…Teens and Technology
Hazards of Facebook, My Space, Sexting, etc.

In Del Valle ISD, we realize that parent involvement in school takes many forms:

  •   Reading to your child at home
  •  Supporting your child in doing his/her homework
  •  Talking with your child about his/her day at school
  •  Helping your child get to school on time each day
  •  Attending parent-teacher conferences
  •   Serving on campus committees
  •  Volunteering your time to help classroom teachers or campus personnel with all of the tasks necessary to create the type of nurturing and supportive educational environment necessary to provide high-quality, effective instruction to all students

Del Valle ISD values ALL forms of parent involvement.  We realize the importance of collaboration with parents (and the community) in creating effective learning environments.  We appreciate the commitment that parents undertake to support their children through all of the challenges and joys that are experienced in a public school setting.  We respect parents as critical contributors to the educational development of their children.  And most of all, we value the inclusion of all parents, without cost, as participants with school personnel in carrying out the awesome responsibility of helping all students reach their full educational potential.

Parent Involvement Committee

If you are a parent who would like to become more actively involved in your child's school, we encourage you to participate as a member of the Parent Involvement Committee at your child's school.  Each campus in Del Valle ISD operates a Parent Involvement Committee.  There are no dues or fees required to join.  All that is required is a desire to become a member!

For more information about the Parent Involvement Committee at your campus, please contact the campus Community Liaison:
