"My hope is when our students leave us their eyes are wide open looking into a bright future.
My dream is that all students will achieve a vision into a bright future.
I feel our role as a department is more than just attendance. Our number one reasonability is to ensure our students are educated and go on to become a success no matter what they do. Education is important, but it’s not just about getting a diploma. Through our interaction with students and parents we should share our knowledge of our life experiences. We need to inform our families there is more out there. They should not settle for average. Your job as parents is to ensure your kids become more successful than past generations. We need to encourage the students to keep pushing when it gets tough. Our families are so used to struggling for everything, so they don’t have time to educate their kids on life. They are trying to put a roof over their head and food on the table. We are role models for these students and families. We are in their homes on a daily basis. We go above what is required of us. We provide counseling, food, money, clothes, and find them shelters. We don’t judge them on how they talk, what they wear, and where they live. We don’t give up on them when they cuss us out. We guide them towards a GED, Diploma, Military, College, and jobs. We are the family they don’t have. We are the family that cares. We are the family that guides them when they have no one else. We do whatever it takes that is our motto. We do this to ensure our kids hopes and dreams come true. They’ve all had a dream at some point in their life. It’s our job to find it and get them back on the track. Because when they succeed we succeed."
